Janayra Santiago - World Languages Teacher
(She, Her, Hers)

Ms. Santiago teaches Spanish II to sophomores, juniors and seniors at Boston Green Academy. Ms. Santiago, a native of Puerto Rico, moved to Massachusetts as a junior in high school. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Sociology with a minor in Latin American Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She is currently working on her M. Ed. at the secondary level at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. She started as an intern in the Academy of Public Service at the former Dorchester Educational Complex, after that she continued teaching at Monument High School and Excel High School at the South Boston Educational Complex. Before deciding to go into teaching Ms. Santiago was a paralegal at a small law firm in downtown Boston. When she is not in the classroom she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.
